Broadcast Management Group’s system integration team provided Las Vegas PBS with engineering and integration support to upgrade their existing production control rooms with the latest technology, utilizing NewTek’s NDI IP production workflow solution. The project included the decommissioning of their current production systems, video servers, graphics systems, and outdated monitors in each control room. It was crucial for PBS that the integration be completed as smoothly as possible, without interrupting their current projects and allowing them to stay on-air. Another requirement was for all cabling to look like it was part of the original facility build. During this upgrade, Broadcast Management Group’s engineering team also installed and commissioned a new media access management system, a new video file transcoding system, and new closed captioning software.
